Hi,

sorry, I didn't know that, and just imitated what others did.

OTOH, it may be nice to also give credit (in the Changes file/release notes,
additionally to the About box etc.) to people who do not code,
but help the project in other ways, e.g. by adding/maintaining
translations, or by just reporting bugs.

It is a simple/easy thing to do, and it may motivate some people to contribute/
keep contributing if they see that their work is valued/acknowledged
by the other
developers.

With regard to our code of conduct/diversity statement
http://padre.perlide.org/code_of_conduct.html
giving the same amount of credit to translators and bug reporters (vs.
only to programmers)
would be a step further in actually living the diversity we pay lip service to.

Having said that, if most other developers prefer not having
translation updates mentioned
in Changes, I will of course not put them there any more. It would
save me some work, after
all ;-)

Best regards,
  Zeno
