I have already done a single tail conversion, I used svn2git:
https://github.com/nirvdrum/svn2git
with a command line like:
svn2git http://svn.perlide.org/padre/trunk/Debug-Client/
--no-minimize-url --revision 9656:19772 -v --notags --nobranches --notrunk
you might need a revision range as I did for above
