The closest I could figure was WinHelp, too.  But, yeah, I figured 
that it would
only help Windows people out there, and also -- as you said -- MS seems to be
moving away from it.

I believe that the developer of QuickHelp on the Mac (Altura) sells 
an app to convert WinHelp docs (or source) into QuickHelp format for 
the Mac.

Would Palm provide the current docs in some format other than PDF to 
allow this? How much work is involved in parsing the PDF files to get 
at the guts? That would be a good first step.
