I'm late to the discussion but aren't there a number of tools for converting
between formats?  How well to they work?  They may not produce pretty
versions in the new formats but maybe they'd be useful.  How about Palm
buying a copy of a PDF-to-WinHelp translator and a couple others.  They
could run the PDFs through the converters without much hassle (assuming they
function reasonably well) and provide them for download.  Of course, this
all depends of the availability or reasonable converters...

Just a thought.
