i could not believe how flammed i got.. but thats what
  happens when you "say something".

i strongly encourage Java development.. it is my
life!! (as a consultant) - however i do personally
feel that using KWM right now "commercially" is a big
  no-no..

i think it is great people are writing pong, tetris
etc.. (i also saw that at the JavaOne conference)..

but anything "commercial" is not possible YET.. it
will be lovely to see the implementation Java 2
compliant (so what if it takes 1Mb, just need more
  memory on the devices)..

if you are considering moving to Java once it gets
better.. (like myself).. then write your code now
  in C..

just dont be stupid and start relying on pointers..
:)) you will never port it then..

i have plans to eventually port LodeRunner to
Java on the palm.. as soon as i know there is a
decent Java VM implemented (right now, it is far
from it).. but some people are still required to
develop for it.. at least to see it move to
  a stable stage..

  ie: the pong games, etc..

i see a huge future in PalmOS.. language is not my
concertn right now.. although i do wish to see Java
on the palm, i have to stick with a more
  "appropriate" implementation.. which is C.

  my 2c..
