>> A) ROMs are already being distributed on warez sites (as someone reported).

unfortunately.. i always seem to start the warez thread.. :)) PalmGearHQ
was successful at bringing down the major "warez" group - however they
  still exist..

i originally asked when the os 3.5 API's were coming in and that
i noticed a color POSE was floating around the warez. its interesting
  how things develop.

palm should not just "give it up".. but make it easier to obtain!

*everyones* application is on a warez site. you need to take a lot
of measures to protect your code! i have wasted many many hours
encryption, using crazy techniques (very stable) to hide the
secrets to my program (the registration scheme).

it is not possible to do anything about it. ignorance of warez
is not something you should do. you should see what they do
to crack your files.. that way you can devise better techniques
  to prevent it.

.. the trick is not prevention.. but delay.. the longer they
take.. the longer your product will sell without pirate
  copies floating around.

i believe 3com has a lot of offices worldwide.. why not making
them accept palm development requests? if not every country,
  then maybe close countries.

  cheers.
