the EZ processor was cheaper, and consumed less power.. i guess
palm decided it would be easier to add on additional hardware to
support the 256 color display. you wont be able to ping with any
registers or rely on the chip being a VZ on the IIIc.
this is one perfect example of when you should not use the "hacking"
styles to ping registers.. most games will see this now with the
IIIc. page flipping was done by accessing a CPU register, and since
the IIIc does not use the display controller on the chip, the
programs fail to work on the IIIc.
