Seriously, though. It shouldn't be hard to set up a CGI on the web server that
locally passes stuff off to port 8888.
If it's a UNIX box, you could write a 10 line perl script which invokes Lynx to
get the page and feed it out.
A little kludgey, but would make all the firewall people happy.
