I have done a little more research into this problem. All users who can't get to port 8080 because of the firewall, simply set your proxy server to one of the below public anonymous proxy servers. Then all outgoing HTTP connections are to port 80 on the proxy, and the proxy only has to worry about Palm's port 8080.
