I thought that email was bizarre too.  I've tried to use HotDispatch,
but its not very focused, the web site is frequently extremely slow to
respond, and the concept of paying for discussion help tends to lead to
really bad questions.

I think the focus was on eliminating direct mail to Palm tech support,
indicating that users should try this first for answers, then if that
fails pay for support with the new outsourced group.

Palm: the newsgroups (and associated mailing list) should stay.  They
are a vital part of the developer community.  Hotdispatch could be a
good alternative for some things, but the current implementation is
frustrating.

BTW, Heather is a Metrowerks engineer. :)
