Hi !
If I understood the email palm sent to us ( my english is really poor ),
we'll now have to pay to have something similar to this Palm Developer Forum.
This is really bad !!
I think I answer more messages than I post ( an average of 1 answered message
by day for one question asked by a week ), and there is a lot of people that
do the same, without beeing appointed by Palm.
Nobody did ask to get money for doing that, so I don't understand why we
should pay to be able to ask a question...
The knowledge base is a very good source of informations, we should continue
to have a free access to it !
Some part of it, I guess, was built with the "help" of questions asked /
answered on this Forum and all posts are not Palm employees ones, so here
again, we don't have to pay to access it !!!
I'm really very disapointed !!!!
What makes Palm OS strong is the number of developer supporting it and if
there is so much programmers on it, it is certainly because the information
was easy and free to access !
If things change, Palm OS could not stay as strong as it was...
By the way, Internet is "big" & almost "free", so if Palm decide to close
this forum, we could just open an other one...
If this is necessary, we should not wait this forum close to send the new
forum address.
If we have to do that, it is really bad, as we'll loose all the ( huge )
archives of already posted messages...
Please, "Palm", change your mind !
