It seems an extreme way of getting appreciation plugs.. :) I think the
problem was a lot of people didn't read the announcement carefully and/or
tried to read between the lines...

> I'm still amazed that I only see 200 emails a day on this group out of
100,000+ developers.

There are a lot of lurkers, to be sure.. but I don't think all 100,000
developers are actually on the forum.

If you compare the announcement to the stuff about the Palm Alliance posted
at http://www.palmos.com/alliance/guide/ since last December.. you'll see
that none of this is anything that hasn't been said for the last several
months. Speaking of which Palm.. since this thread has your attention and I
have gotten ZERO response from the "more questions" email address at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ... when are the other levels of the Palm Alliance
going to be available? How does one who is already a registered developer (a
"Palm Alliance Member" under the definitions on the site) upgrade their
status to "Select" or "Premier"? The alliance guide only talks about how to
join.. it says nothing about the 100,000 of us that already joined the
previous developer group.
