I guess this would support breaking the two apart (Palm and Desktop).
Make the Palm side free and charge for the appropriate version of the
desktop (be it Windows only or Mac only etc).

But you're right, "know your audience" becomes a crucial motto here.

If you bundle them together (Palm and desktop), be prepared for the "But I'm
running on a Mac, why do I have to buy the Windows only conduit" type
questions... I have a couple of things that I want to eventually do desktop
components to work with them.. but I've always planned on those being
optional and separately priced. It depends heavily on what audience you are
targeting.. so know your audience. :)
