I don't mind $20 for some classes of games.  I just paid $20 for the new
Kyle's Quest 2 that will be out this month.  KQ both does a good job
with the pocket RPG genre, and it is very expandable by using the
provided level editor.  That's the kind of value that pushes a game out
of the $5-10 range.

What works well is if you can make a series of simple games, usign
common design elements.  Seahorse Software does a good job here with
their card games, and Astraware is currently doing great with their
puzzle games adapted from Poptop Software.  If you can do 3 or 4 games,
using a lot of common code but making them unique, then its easy to
justify $20 for a pack of them.
