You might try the standard troubleshooting steps, if you haven't already:

* Rebuild your desktop (best to use a tool for this)

* Scan disk(s) for damage (disk 1st aid/etc)

* Start up with extensions disabled & see if problem goes away

* Toss CodeWarrior's pref file & try it again

* Run a virus scan
