It's great to hear Zen of Palm design goals being discussed on this forum. The only thing I'd like to add to the discussion is that you could put a message in the HotSync log if an unfinished record exists. That way, when the user HotSyncs, they'll get a dialog on the desktop telling them to read the log, and the log will explain that they should go back and complete the record entry and HotSync again. This would train the user to complete record entries before syncing, but would still allow the user to leave the application mid-entry when necessary. -- Peter Epstein
