um.. well, thats not entirely true. they all use the gcc compiler backend; and, just provide an interface for the 'i need an IDE type people'. as it is right now, you can use: codewarrior (for symbian) borland builder microsoft visual studio and, of course, lets not forget the good old command line interaction. it means squat that metrowerks have an IDE for it; of course symbian wants people to be able to use it. lets not make such remarks - if an IDE can support calling command line tools; it can be used with symbian sdk. i actually had to purchase the metrowerks IDE in order to get access to the P800 SDK - and, it was the biggest waste of money i have ever put into any development tools. i know the gcc used by symbian is very old (1998), and, i was expecting a new arm compiler in the codewarrior package. i just eventually ended up removing the IDE, and, just getting access to the raw gcc and the header files. was of no value at all for me. --- Aaron Ardiri [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.mobilewizardry.com/members/aaron_ardiri.php [profile] -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
