I think the electronics was in the Visor connector end, so when you cut that off you lose the conversion too. (It was also in the base of serial Visor cradles.) So what you'd want is a cable with the Athena on one end, and a female Visor on the other to mate with the existing Visor cable. Or remove the electronics and fit into your Athena conector. >Well they all have USB cables available, right? But again different connectors. In the future, Cobalt devices should support USB On-The-Go to make it easier to use USB peripherals (but not necessarily RS232 ones).
