You might want to add "Highlander" (the movies *AND* maybe the series) to the 
continuity conundrum. That was a definitely screwed up series (the movies at 
least).

I can't comment on the TV series because I've never been able to catch the 
whole series uninterrupted to make heads or tails of it.
