In 1999 I found an old D&D game that still had everything in the box. The dice looked neat and I wanted to find some way to make a big set of all of the dice. I started looking for polyhedra nets of the shapes or even some dice files with the numbers already on the faces. Not only did I find the polyhedra nets, I also found a bunch more stuff and have been on the hunt ever since. (-_-)
