When I was a kid models came on cereal boxes.
Usually the ones I didn't like. However I ate it to get the models.
I also had an uncle that bought me a WWII solder set and a medieval castle.
I really liked those. Also there was a KIX send off that was nice.
To stay in models I learned to make my own from cardboard covers on coat
hangers.
The cardboard was about 1.25 inches by 14 inches when folded in half over
the coat hangers and had a natural airfoil shape.
My dad was always mad at me because of the creases in his pants from the
lack of the cardboard.
Also my models would fly.

My addiction started when I was in high school. I discovered Origami.. but
it wasn't until my son also found Origami (though finding my old books) that
I went online to search for more patterns... the world of papercraft jumped
out at me and I was hooked. :) This was only about a year ago too!
