Good luck, Mike. Recently I have purchased the HP OfficeJet 7500 Wide Format, and I am not satisfied at all, especially for the quality of the photo prints (but it has other problems, too). Nothing to do with my old Epson DX 4850, that I continue to use for the photos. Please, update me about your experience with your Canon... maybe I will buy one, too.
