hi
I've sort of been helping Lynn solve this issue and i mentioned the 
20 db boost, but it doesn't seem to be in the same place as mine is. 
I've got a SB Live!Audigy 2, and the 20 db boost checkbox is there, 
but only after you press the advanced buttton in playback controls 
for the microphone.
