HI Dane, I'm going to briefly describe my current setup with my Mac Mini: I have it connected to my home theeater via the digital optic connection using the optic cable I purchased via Apple recommendation from Radio Shakc. I'm getting the impression the convertor you speak of is a transmittor to allow your sounds to be played in other rooms and has nothing to do with a direct connection to a home theater system. I ask, because I am a junky for audio sound and always strive for better sound quality, but I don't stream music throughout my home as of yet. by next summer however, I would like the ability to stream outside onto my patio for my leisure time, BBQs, yardwork and etc. smile!
