The way I understand it is that it's using your current wifi network, so if you already have a wifi router than you just need an Airport plugged in near your stereo system. A page with a good review and high level instructions can be found at http://www.audioreview.com/Airportcrx.aspx.

I'm glad you like your digital connections, wouldn't be without them now.
