It should fly with the processor you have and the upgrade of RAM. OS 
9.1 uses more memory so that's a big point for adding more RAM.
At this moment my 9.1 is using 22megs and iTunes are using 6.6megs of RAM.
Considering 9.1 runs 20-23 meg (from my observation) I would thinkit 
would be important since you only have 48 now.  Look at the bright 
side, RAM is super cheap now!
