I just thought of this. I noticed the other day on
versiontracker.com that someone had created a patch to allow iTunes
to run on OS 8.6. Apparently, from the reviews it works well and
runs fine even after upgrading to 9.1. If you just want 9.1 for
iTunes, then this might be a way to go?!
