This statement is from XLR8, my question is, should I worry about this, what
are anyone's experiences with the Mach Carrier G3 running on 7500 etc?
"MACh Speed G3, MACh Carrier G3, MACh Carrier G4 MPe (1 or 2 processors),
Carrier ZIF, Carrier ZIF MPe (7300-9600 Series Power Macs)
Apple does not officially support these systems for use with OS X. In most
circumstances the Mac OS X Installation CD-ROM will not be able to install
on an unsupported system, although some users have managed to install the
system onto their older systems. In this case, if your upgrade card has 1MB
of backside cache, the XLR8 MACh Speed Control X extension should enable the
cache under OS X. XLR8 is unable to support the extension in this
configuration. As the future system requirements of OS X are unknown, full
support may be added at a later time for these machines."
Thanks,
Matt
