Matt,
What are your concerns?
The "UnsupportedUtilityX" tool is great -- super-easy to use. I
installed X on a 7300 the other day. Find it here:
http://eshop.macsales.com/OSXCenter/framework.cfm?page=UnsupportedUtilityX.html
If you want full Apple support, and guarantee that you'll be able
to upgrade X for some time to come, replace your 7500 with a beige G3 or
better.
Some people have had to clock down their upgraded G3s to get X to
boot, but, other than that, it should work as well on your old world
machine as on other unsupported old world machines, whatever that means. ;)
Cheers,
-Greg
