Hello Cameron

My present video configuration on my 7600 G3 400MHz/1MB working OSX
(and S9.1) is as follows:

* All four internal VRAM slots filled=4MB

*Belkin VGA/Mac Adapter/ Dip Switches connected to the DB15M video out

*HP Ultra VGA 1280 17",monitor connected to the Adapter

*Screen resolution set via dip switches to 1024 x 768 , 75Hz refresh
rate.
Get normal ,full screen area video with the same display area size as
with the Rage Orion card. But I do not do games( the laura croft thing,
etc)

BTW.1. Per my contacts with Neal at [EMAIL PROTECTED], ATI has found
the "bug" that is causing the kernel panics during OSX installation on
"unsupported macs" (stevie J's term not mine). Sonnet told me that its
ATI's problem so they are not doing anything. ATI told Sonnet that they
will" look into" a patch, may put it out themselves or send it to Apple
for inclusion in their update stuff, BUT no time frame was given!
Like, dont keep the lights on waiting for it. Since I do not do games,
who needs it!.

BTW 2. Can you tell me where in the Apple Profiler I can find
verification that I indeed have 4MB of internal VRAM working? When I had
the video card installed, there was a screen display of 16MB. But not
now.
thanks for your time on this

happy macing

albert
