Not to worry about Sonnet

I spent much e-mail time with Neal at [EMAIL PROTECTED] The only
problem I had was with the ATI Rage Orion 128 video card. (In fact,
Ryan Rempel at OWC is having the same problem with video cards on old
world macs. Most of them cause kernel crashes during installation ).
Once I removed the PCI video card and then following to the letter
Sonnets installation instructions ,installing OSX on a separate hard
drive than OS9.1 is on, booting into OSX was successful. The Sonnet
installation is s also compatible with my Sonnet Tempo ATA66 PCI card
driving an IDE hard drive; and also compatible with my Keyspan PCI-USB
card now successfully driving my USB Epson Printer in both OSX and
Classic operating modes.

The reference post about a non-mounting hard drive may be a separate,
unrelated problem or possibly caused by not following Sonnets
installation instructions. In the past I have had similar hard drive
problems by switching power directly off instead of using the Finder
and/or punching the "wrong" keys ant the "wrong" time!
