OS X 10.1 is based upon a new version of the Darwin kernel. It will require a
new version of the Ryan Rempel UnsupportedExtensions. I seriously doubt that
Apple is going to integrate support for the pre-G3 Macs into 10.1.

Don't misunderstand though, Apple hasn't done anything deliberately to disable
Ryan Rempel's patches. Rempel's patches will have to be recompiled against
every new version of the Darwin kernel, much like KLMs in *BSD on modules in
Linux.

The only real reason that there aren't updated patches for 10.1 is that Apple
won't make Rempel a beta software user. Strangely enough, Apple doesn't think
that supporting the unsupported machines is important. So, since there won't
be a public beta of 10.1, we have to wait until 10.1 is released.

It shouldn't really take more than a day or two for Rempel to release updated
patches. Have patience. :-)
