I love Macs but does it ever seem to anyone else that Apple is not always concious of
it's user base? It's obvious that Apple users are more dedicated to their machines
and the company that makes them but I don't really see Apple respond too well to us.
When they allowed the clones to come out it was great for a lot of people because they
were less expensive and people who wanted to go Mac but didn't/couldn't afford the
ones from Apple themselves could finally move to the Mac OS for a reasonable price.
Now, Apple is making software that won't run on those machines and the clones have
stopped being produced.
On top of that, (I'm unfamiliar with the new machines running with IDE drives) it's
difficult for someone new to the system to even install a non-Apple ROM hard drive
because Drive Setup won't work.
Well, apologies for the ranting but it just seems to me that as many people who are
out there without iMacs, G3's and G4's that Apple would realize that we are here and
try to accomodate us instead of trying to force us to buy a new machine to run their
software....

And they wonder why they have the market share they do.................
