I did this update following both sets of instructions on the site listed.
Changing the machine ID was easier than I thought and the whole process of
updating from OS 9.1 to 9.2.1 took about 20 minutes total.

The only thing that I had to do for my networking was to copy the Comm Slot
II ethernet driver from my saved system folder to the 9.2.1 folder and I was
up and running.

Now to test it out and see how stable this 9.2.1 is on my Powermac 4400.
