Hmm, OK and we had to go to Unix to get this?! I just don't see the point.
I could've loaded Linux on my 8500 two years ago and had a "fully
pre-emptive multitasking, multi-user OS." What good is all this crap if it
isn't the Mac OS? Buzz words are fine, but these have lost their meaning.
Oh goodie, I can now multitask. Big freakin deal, I routinely run 20 apps
on my Mac. I can really only do one thing at a time, so who cares in the
end. Oh well I forgot, some people can talk on their cell phones while
they drive, so I guess these same people do multiple things on their
computers eh? Note, this example does not include the option of rendering
3D stuff and knocking it into the background while you work on something
else in the front, because well really you're still only putting your
attention into one thing at a time.

It really makes me laugh when people complain about how in Classic Mac OS
when they launch an app, they have to wait for it to load, before they can
go do something else. Hmm, well how long does this take, a few seconds at
most. I mean it's not like you're going to jump into Word and write a book
while your other app loads is it? People need ot get a clue about this
sort of thing before they jump all over it.

Mac OS X is not in my eyes a "Mac OS" End of story. If Jobs had named it
something else, that would've been fine.

Counter points are welcome...
