Forgot another upgrade item -- a video card.
Not sure how important this is for the 8500 and the work you are doing.
In my case I added a Rage Orion to the 7500 for about $95 (with rebate).
These are no longer available new (as far as I know) and an iXmico card to
the 7300 for $40 + ship from OWC. I believe that card is still available. I
use an old Radius 21" monitor on the 7300.
