You know, i don't remember. It seems like i did.
It seems that there was a progress window but it took a long time
for the bar to appear.
It was a new Maxtor 30gig and came with pc software only.
At first Drive Setup said it did'nt recognize the driver.
After writing zeros i was able to update the driver, initialize, and format.
