When I open Apple Drive Set up I get a list of all my drives. The top volume is
listed as <not initialized SCSI OOO. When I select that volume it says at the
bottom: This disk needs a low level format. So I then select "Initialize". The
next window has the warning that all datta will be destroyed on the following
volumes but no volume shows up in the window. Below that is another window that
says New Partitioning: 1 Mac OS, Initializing Options: None. If I hit the
Initializing button I get the spinning black and white wheel but no progress
bar. Is this normal? If so I will turn this puppy on and let it run for several hours.
