I don't know if anyone answered this but when I did a low-level
yesterday on my 9.1 gig, Toolkit took about 4:50. It seems
reasonable that a 4.5 would take half that time.
As for why you cannot format HFS+, if all the other suggestions of
the listers didn't work then I can't really add anything to
it....aside from contact Seagate maybe and good luck.
