Yes, the 7600 works just fine without the card, and with the OEM 1.2GB SCSI 
HD installed (OS 8.5 installs just fine, for example). I have updated the 
drives, and OS 9.1 runs a lot better, but it's not perfect. I did press the 
CUDA button when I replaced the daughtercard, and the problems occurred both 
before and after that operation. Also, the card has been in all of the three 
PCI slots, with the same results. I guess I'll just live with it, since it 
(more or less) works now.
