I have to agree with Tim Collier about dialup speeds in the country. my ISP is about 50km away via copper wire, and until recently I could only get 31k max or I'd get contiual dropouts and be spending more on phone calls than for the access. From here the only other possibility is satelite at an exhobitant rate $160 / month, so I'll put up with slow dialup. After all for most things do we really "need" fast acess? My daughter gets annoyed when she wants to load up sits with lots of fancy graphics, or download movies etc, but I reckon frustration is a part of life we all live with so she should just get used to it.
