>>> Anyone out there using a digital camera and downloading to a PCI Power Mac
>>> Mac for display and/or printing out?

Yep, used to anyway.

>>> Using special software or ??

Just about any camera you buy new will come with photo editing software as
well as software to transfer images from the camera to the computer.

>>> What camera model ?

Like someone else on the list, I've got a Kodak DC215 zoom, bought when they
cost $299. Cool looking camera, metal case feels good in my hand, user
interface is simple and pretty responsive, but image quality is lacking in
dim lighting.

>>> USB or RCA outputs?

The DC 215 has a composite video output to run a slideshow on a TV, it comes
with a cable that's a mono-1/8th inch headphone jack on the camera side, and
RCA jack on the other end. This is the only place I'd think there'd be an
RCA jack on a digital still camera.

I used the camera with a 6400, with a serial cable that came with the camera
to transfer images. It was slow.

Now I use it with my girlfriend's Rev. B iMac, picked up a $29.99 compact
flash card reader at CompUSA and it's 100X faster than serial, and much more
flexible.
