I don't know about everyone else, but I use my normal Camcorder to take
pictures and stuff. Its a Sony CCD-TR517 200X zoom 8mm camcorder. Nothing
fancy at all but does the job. I simply plug the RCA cables (video and mono
audio) to the camcorder and then to the back of my 7500 or 7600's RCA factory
inputs, open Apple Video Player (comes included with the OS 8.5 CD) and push
play on the camcorder. From there I set the size of the window by dragging
the corner, and once at the correct part I push freeze. If its good then I
save, then close the program and open Clip2Gif (shareware or freeware, forget
which it was) and convert it to JPG with a lot of other options. Then im able
to upload it to the net or send to a friend if I like.

Don't get me wrong the pictures are ok at best but when you have nothing else
to work with its pretty good. Ive also done the same with my VCR, DVD or PS2.
As long as it has RCA outs on the unit you can plug it into my Mac. Anyway
now getting long winded.
