I run 8.6 on my Mac 7300 (G3/400) 248MB RAM with a "tiny" 2GB hard
drive. The OS takes up maybe up to 30MB, and I have at least 40
different applications that I use including ClarisWorks 4, Eudora
5.1, and Netscape 4.76 (I have Netscape 6.1 and Opera, but I don't
use them). I don't do images very much, so a 2 GB HD is adequate for
me (last I checked, I still have some 850MB storage unused).
