I just bought an ATA card and IDE drive two weeks ago. I bought the VST UltraTek/66 card and it cost about $89 (I think) at OWC. It doesn't matter which HD with this card or the Sonnet card, but I think there's a third card that goes with one particular drive. I chose the UltraTek card because it comes with SoftRaid and was recommended by people at OWC and web site reviews. You can't really take advantage of the benefits of SoftRaid, as I found out, unless you have more than one drive. So if you get this card, keep at least one of your old drives. You need the same amount of memory on both drives, which is why I could only benefit from using SoftRaid on 4GB of my new 60GB drive (my other drive is only 4GB). Hope this helps.
