I have a 5MB Sider hard drive for my Apple //e that probably weighs more
than several iBooks.  THAT is BIG.

You could chain two of them together to provide 10MB.

If you were going to put them on top of your desk, instead of under it, you
NEEDED two of them.  One for each side of the desk, otherwise the desk would
tip over.

But is the sound/picture quality better than Betamax videotapes or vinyl
records?

What?  You say that having all the movies/sounds on your computer makes for
easier access and better mobility?  That just means that you are too lazy to
build a giant robotic disk/tape selecting and loading machine mounted on a
semi truck that docks against one wall of your house.  Kids these days...
