On Tuesday, Mark asked: ... I was wondering whats a useable amount of disk space on a mac running say os 8 or 9....
On my 7600\132, I have a 1.2 Gig HD and a 3.2 Gig HD. The 1.2 is what came with the machine, and it has the system (8.6) and most of the apps on it. I still have about 300 Meg of space. I just got toe 3.2 a few months ago, and it isn't even close to being stuffed. I'd say that unless you were doing a lot of video work, the smaller (relatively speaking) drives will do nicely. BTW, does anyone else remember when a 20 Meg HD was BIG and a 40 Meg HD ENORMOUS? However did we fill all that space? ;-) Chris Gleeson Wawa, Ontario http://wawa.cc -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
