Your input is appreciated. >> Change power supply's the fan from the normal 42 cubic feet per minute (cfm) model to a 65 cfm model. The fan is a 92mm by 25mm form factor model. Digi-Key sells a 65 cfm Panasonic fan, of the required voltage and form factor, under its part number P9760-ND for $11.88. Special G3 note ... If you install a finger guard under the fan during installation (or power supply modification) and then you remove the finger guard which is built into the Mac's case, then a Beige G3 Desktop will be able to accept conventional, tall SDRAM sticks. The only thing which is preventing installation of conventional, tall SDRAM sticks in a G3 Desktop is the fact that the old, 7500 case sheet metal was resused for the G3 Desktop, and there were no RAM DIMMs under that finger guard on pre-G3 machines. A 92mm finger guard is available from Digi-Key under its part number CR227-ND for $0.80. Peter. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
