Look underneath the mobo.

On the 8500s, the ROMs are soldered to the bottom of the board.

On the 9500s, the ROMS are soldered in the top of the board if the mobo is a 
"Tsunami w/ROM". If it is a "TsunamI", then there are no ROMs on the mobo, 
and it requires a ROM SIMM.

Normally, the ROM SIMM slot will be empty on most PCI Macs, and there will be 
four ROM chips soldered to the mobo. The ROM SIMM for the "Tsunami" has eight 
chips on it.
