On the 9500s, the ROMS are soldered in the top of the board if the mobo is a "Tsunami w/ROM". If it is a "TsunamI", then there are no ROMs on the mobo, and it requires a ROM SIMM. Normally, the ROM SIMM slot will be empty on most PCI Macs, and there will be four ROM chips soldered to the mobo.
