If it is fast enough, stable, and does what you want I wouldn't
upgrade. I stayed on OS 8.6 for the longest time because it is
soooo stable. However, I recently had to upgrade to Quicken 2002 (to
utilize on-line banking) and it requires OS 9.1, so I ended up doing
that upgrade finally. Given your 96MB of memory, the first thing I
would do would be to buy at least 1 if not 2 128MB DIMMs and add them
in and turn off Virtual Memory. This will probably help add a
little speed to your system, at a minimal cost. Beyond that, G3
updates are available for the 6400/6500 computers. Check the 6400
zone <http://homepage.mac.com/zone6400/> for lots of good update
information on your computer.
